Title : Hatred
Characters/Pairings : Chloe(Smallville)/ Snakehead(the Medallion)
Rating : light Teen (Death mentioned, but really nothing more… rather dark theme, so I just go safe and rate it stronger than needed)

Hatred

 

He hated all of her friends. The fact that they never stopped searching for her. The fact that they were all still trying to find out what really happened, where she really was. All the reasons why she loved them even more only fuelled his hatred for them even more.

 

He had long ago sought her out because no other human, or meta-human could help him with his quest of immortality. He had firmly believed that Chloe Sullivan, also known as Phoenix, was the only one to be able to fulfil his dream on being invincible.

 

That had been before he found out about a boy that was able to use a medallion to make him more than any human could hope to be. Immortal and Invincible.

 

But even after having had his request fulfilled, the ‘chosen one’ killed, he realised that being immortal meant living forever. And even though he never wanted to share his power with anyone, he still wanted someone with him. If only to stand testimony of his never ending power.

 

So he had kept Chloe with him. Long ago Giscard, his right-hand man died of old age, but she was still with him. Still looking as beautiful and young as the day he had kidnapped her, after destroying her home and killing her father. She would never age and always stay by his side. Because she only had two or three friends left looking for her out there.

 

Superman, Cyborg and Aquaman were all she had left. And alone the thought of them taking her away from him fuelled his hatred to new levels. He would kill them, destroy them like he had destroyed all the others that came to close the discovering where she was.

 

Because time was after all on his side, on their side. He had all of eternity to keep Chloe with him, and destroy those that stood in his way. Eternity and beyond.

 

So, what do you think… I have to admit I wanted to actually write this already sooo long ago, for the chloecrossing ‘never done before’ challenge… it never made it… So I decided to put it up very very late…

And yes, I know I never mentioned SnakeHead… but if you watched the Medallion you would know that he was the only arrogant guy trying to become ‘more than human’. So it is his point of view... really...
